The first enterprise in paper and packaging industry achieved Leed certificate

Recently, CP Paper – the first enterprise in paper and packaging industry – officially achieved LEED silver certificate. This shows that businesses have to transform themselves to adapt with green consumption trends.

CP Paper is the first company in paper and packaging industry achieved LEED certificate for office and warehouse in Vietnam.

In Vietnam, besides certificates of natural resources (wood materials for paper production), environmental certification for factory, “high-quality” such as LEED (LEED has been being popular in real estate industry) is now also interested by big enterprises in paper industry in Vietnam and abroad. CP Paper Corporation (CP Paper) is the first company in paper and packaging industry achieved this certificate in Vietnam for their warehouse and office. This is known the result of well-prepared and planed in long time of CP Paper team.

Although knowing advantage of LEED, but strict standards and investment in time, effort, resources are the big obstacles to prevent enterprise’s action to get it.

Sharing about this point, Mrs. To My Chau – CEO of CP Paper said: “We decide to apply LEED because we understand that despite of stricter standards and higher investment costs (5% of construction cost), but LEED be able to create more tangible and intangible values, jibe with our initial desired values, long-term vision and concrete result”.

The most obvious benefit that this certificate brings is the ability to save electrical and water energy. “People-orientation is one of CP Paper’s core values. We expect our employees can work in green, clean working environment and ensure health safety” – Mrs. To My Chau emphasized.
